Having your book professionally designed can improve your chances of success.

If you're not sure whether you need your book designed, consider the following:

  • Have you written your book with the idea of selling a lot of copies?
  • How serious are you about your book?
  • How serious do you want to be taken as an author?
  • Do you want to reduce refunds?

Think about walking into your favorite book store, picking up a book, and it's not profesionally designed. What would your reaction be? What about if you have a free e-report that you're giving away?

The first thing to consider with free give-aways, is what the purpose of it is. Most of the time, the free e-report is given away to help you build your business or service. First impressions count, therefore what impression does your reader get of your business or service when they read/use your e-report or e-book? Is it shoddy? Amateur? Professional? It can make the difference between laning a customer or not.

You focus on writing - leave the techie stuff to me.

ProBook Gold

What you supply

Essentially you give us your typed manuscript, and any graphic images (as attachments - jpg, gif, or png). No formatting is required on your part. This can be a Word, OpenOffice, or plain text file.

What we do

  • Completely design and format book (incl. text, headlines, headers, footers, page numbers, etc.).
  • Place images at required or applicable positions (incl. re-sizing of images, if required).
  • Include cross-reference clickable links, within and out of book (e-books).
  • Check manuscript for text flow.
  • Check manuscript for readability (i.e. paragraph length, sentence length, bullets, lists, captions, etc.).
  • Check for typographical errors.
  • Design cover. *
  • Copyright page.
  • Foreword.
  • Create alphabetical index (if required).
  • Bibliography (if required).

* Cover designs for hard copy books charged for separately.

What we supply

  • First draft (in PDF format). You check the content and layout, and if required add/delete text and/or images. This is a thorough check by you.
  • Second draft (in PDF format). You check that all additions/deletions, and requests by you were done.
    * Any additions/deletions to this draft may be charged for.
  • Final draft (in PDF format). You verify that all SECOND DRAFT comments are done. IMPORTANT: Any extra work to the FINAL DRAFT will be charged for.
  • Final book manuscript (in PDF and MS Word format)
    Note: Where the file size of the PDF or Word document is too large for e-mailing, the document will be written to compact disk, and mailed.

Excluded

  • No writing of content.
  • No re-writing of content.
  • No sourcing of graphic images. *
  • No creation of graphic images (except the book cover). *

What you supply

You give us your basic formatted manuscript, and we turn it into a professional book design. All images are in place, and your final font is used. This can be supplied as a Word, or OpenOffice file.

What we do

  • Check/format design and layout of manuscript.
  • Include cross-reference clickable links, within and out of book (e-books).
  • Check manuscript for text flow.
  • Check manuscript for readability (i.e. paragraph length, sentence length, bullets, lists, captions, etc.).
  • Check for typographical errors.
  • Design cover. *
  • Create alphabetical index (if required).

We capture your web site (or the pages you want), and we turn it into a professional book design. There is no formatting or layout needed on your part, and you don't supply us with a manuscript.

  • Completely design and format book (incl. text, headlines, headers, footers, page numbers, etc.).
  • Place images at required or applicable positions (inl. re-sizing of images, if required).
