Self-Publishing Goals - 2015

Background. If you have read my bio, you will be familiar with my personal background, and how I arrived at where I am today. If you haven't read it (or aren't interested in the blah-blah story), here's the snap-shot version...

  • I wrote the first draft of my first book in 1990/91 (was rejected by literary agent)
  • Obtained my diploma in technical writing in 1987
  • Completed a 1-year diploma course in freelance journalism (1988)
  • Started on the web in 1997, running a web site for, my technical writing business
  • In 1997 I started my own corporation, offering technical writing services (and later adding a print-on-demand service)
  • In 2004 I self-published my first book (offline) Invest In Yourself. Although I had experience of publishing manuals (in technical writing career), this was a tremendous learning experience, and rewarding (non-monetary)
  • In the same year I joined SBI!, started a new web site, and self-published my ebook, Get What You Want
  • In 2007 I accepted a position with SiteSell, Inc. (based in Canada) as a virtual contractor (contract terminated 2011)
  • For the years 2007 to 2014 I offered e-cover and book design services
  • In Nov 2013 I started the blogged book at

That's my brief background, and now I would like to share with you my self-publishing goals for 2015...

  1. Re-design and re-launch my site,; new responsive design, and new focus on self-publishing.
  2. Create a quality free resource for my newsletter subscribers.
  3. Write at LEAST 6 epic articles (±3000 words) and upload to my site.
  4. Create one quality infographic, as a free resource on my site.
  5. Self-publish my blogged book at (in 3 formats: hard copy (CreateSpace), Kindle, and Smashwords). I will also complete all the bonuses to accompany the book.
  6. Write the next book in the Self-Publishing Success Series.
